FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL | AUGUST 13, 2024

Glenda Arnold ECLC (Pre-K) | Doors Open at 7:25 a.m.

  • Parents may walk students to the classrooms on Day 1.

  • The first bell rings at 7:50 AM

  • The tardy bell rings at 7:55 AM

  • Dismissal at 3:25 PM

  • Tuition-Based YMCA After-School Care Until 6:30 p.m.

Elementary Schools | Doors open at 7:05 a.m.

  • Parents may walk their child to the classrooms on Day 1.

  • Breakfast students report to cafeteria, then assigned rooms.

  • First bell rings at 7:30 AM

  • Tardy Bell rings at 7:35 AM

  • Dismissal is at 3:10 PM

  • Tuition-Based YMCA After-School Care Until 6:30 p.m.

Ouida Baley Middle School | Doors Open at 8:05 a.m.

  • Buses will load/unload in the front of the building and car riders will be in the back.

  • Please follow all directional signs in the parking lot.

  • Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria beginning at 8:05 a.m.

  • Please report to your first period class listed on your schedule. 

  • First Period 8:30 AM

  • Tardy Bell 8:35 AM

  • Dismissal 4:05 PM

  • Students without schedules must go to the LIBRARY. 

Bobby Summers Middle School | Doors Open at 8:05 a.m.

  • Buses will load/unload in the back of the building and car riders will be in the front (off of CD Boren).

  • Please follow all directional signs in the parking lot.

  • Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria beginning at 8:00 a.m.

  • Please report to your first period class listed on your schedule. 

  • First Period 8:30 AM

  • Tardy Bell 8:35 AM

  • Dismissal 4:05 PM

  • Students without schedules must go to their GRADE LEVEL POD. 

Royse City High School: Doors open at 7:35 a.m.

  • The first bell rings at 7:55 AM

  • Tardy bell rings at 8:05 AM

  • Car riders will be dropped off in the back. Please follow signage.

  • Dismissal is at 3:35 PM

  • Students will not be allowed to purchase food in the cafeteria or check out textbooks/library books without an ID badge.

  • Locations for schedule/ID badge pickup will be posted at the student entrances.

  • Students are asked to bring paper/pen the first day of school; school supply lists will be given by individual teachers.
