In an effort to serve students who may require accelerated instruction, we will offer 30 hours of instruction for students within a single week of summer school instruction. Each week of summer school will have a different subject focus. We will offer a day for planning before the school year ends for teachers to get together and plan for the week. Our curriculum coordinators will help ensure you have the resources you need.

We are paying $1,200 per week for summer school. You can apply to teach for one week or two weeks.

We will prioritize teacher assignments based on certification, experience, and numbers of students qualifying in each grade level.

Week 1: Reading - June 10-14

Students in grades K-5 will attend Monday - Friday from approximately 7:45 - 2:45 p.m. Teachers will attend from 7:15 - 3:15 p.m. During this time, students will receive support in learning the high leverage TEKS for their grade level. Teachers in a grade level will work together to determine the best plan for implementing all of the available resources.

Week 2: Math/Science - June 17-21

Students in grades K-5 will attend Monday - Friday from approximately 7:45 - 2:45 p.m. Teachers will attend from 7:15 - 3:15 p.m. During this time, students will receive support in learning the high leverage TEKS for their grade level. Teachers in a grade level will work together to determine the best plan for implementing all of the available resources.

Below is a Google form that will allow you to apply to teach K-5 Summer School (this doesn’t include ESY or Summer Language Acquisition Academy for Emerging Bilingual students who have completed PreK or Kindergarten).
