As you know, our school district and the communities that we serve are growing rapidly. Thank you to the Royse City ISD voters for approving the last three bond referendums that together, have allowed us to build new schools to serve current and future students. We now ask that you help us name elementary school #8. Your suggestions will be considered by a Facility Naming Committee in July and announced shortly thereafter.
ROYSE CITY ISD BOARD POLICY ON FACILITY NAMING:
Facilities may be named for persons who have served the District or community, especially in service to children.
Facilities may be named for any local, state, or national heroic figure.
A nominee shall have made a significant contribution to soci-ety and/or education, and the name shall lend prestige and status to an institution of learning.
Facilities may be named for local residential or geographic areas or state or national landmarks.
Facilities may be named for significant financial donors or land patrons.
