Royse City- TX
Heading into its 2025 Annual Conference, TASBO members elected Byron Bryant as Vice President. Bryant was serving a three-year term on the board of directors before running for the officer position. He is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Royse City ISD.
Bryant was first elected to TASBO's board of directors in 2022. TASBO follows an officer succession structure, meaning Bryant will serve as Vice President for one year, then as President-Elect, and ultimately as President in 2027.
Bryant has served as the Chief Financial Officer for Royse City ISD since 2018. Previously he served as the Executive Director of Finance for Allen ISD and worked in accounting at Rockwall ISD and Red Oak ISD. Bryant graduated with his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant. "Byron's expertise in school finance and governmental accounting has been invaluable to TASBO," said TASBO Executive Director Tracy Ginsburg. "He has been a frequent instructor and presenter, and we are fortunate to have him as a leader."
