Cool story! RCHS student, Hunter, recently advocated for the district's transportation department to name a school bus the Wombat Bus. In a letter written to the transportation director, the student shared that Theatre Teacher Spencer Tilley has greatly impacted his life and character. He shared that Mr. Tilley's favorite animal of all time is the wombat and wanted to surprise him with this unique honor. The transportation department gladly granted his wish and Mr. Tilley was surprised with the news and a Certificate of Influence from his school's principals. If you see the Wombat Bus around town, know that Mr. Tilley's influence as an educator is appreciated! #RCISDJoy

As we approach a long weekend and forecasts of possible winter weather, please take a moment to become familiar with our winter weather protocols at: https://www.rcisd.org/o/rcisd/page/incelement-weather
Royse City ISD officials monitor the weather with both road conditions and wind temperatures in mind. Any decision on a delayed start or school closure would be widely communicated to parents via social media, district website, emails, phone calls, texts, mobile app and local broadcast media. If your phone number or email address has changed, please contact our campuses to make those updates.
With 77 square miles, it is important travel is safe for our bus fleet, student drivers, staff and families. We also know that decisions on delays and closures have a direct impact on the families we serve. Communicating with you in an efficient manner is a priority. Thank you for your support of our safety efforts!
No school on Monday, January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This federal holiday is also designated by Congress as a national day of service. What will you do to serve your community on this important day?
Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and Royse City ISD is immensely grateful to these individuals for their efforts in keeping our schools, facilities and events safe for all. Every campus in the district employs at least one armed officer. These men and women are part of the campus families and serve as role models for students of all ages. We thank them!
Let's go! Spring 2024 is underway. Wishing all students, families and staff an outstanding semester of learning & #RCISDJoy
It is #ThrowbackThursday! Do you remember these Bulldog Blvd street signs? Big thanks to Sarah Moss for this display case donation for an upcoming project at RCHS. Story has it that the 1992 Student Council asked the city to rename FM 1777 to Bulldog Blvd. So many of these coveted signs were taken by Bulldog Fans, they stopped making more. #RCISDJoy
