Compensation Plan Approved in Royse City ISD for 2024-2025 - Raises for All
At the April 15, School Board Meeting, trustees unanimously approved the 2024-2025 Compensation Package. While the district is still hopeful that the Texas Legislature and state leadership will increase the basic allotment in future sessions, the Royse City ISD is committed to increasing teacher pay and across-the-board raises within existing ISD budgets. Fast growth and conservative budget practices through the years have allowed Royse City ISD to continue to invest in payroll increases without dipping into district savings.
2024-2025 Compensation Plan Highlights
All teachers will receive an $1,800 raise which is an increase of just over 3% of the median midpoint teacher salary.
A 3% raise from midpoint salary for all other non-teaching staff in accordance with their pay range.
A $500 one-time incentive check will be issued to all full-time staff at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year. Please note that ESSER funding tied to previous incentive payments have been discontinued by the federal government.
Starting teacher salary raised to $57,500 (up from $56,000 in 2023-2024). In 2016, the starting teacher salary in Royse City ISD was just over $43,000.

“Staff compensation is a major focus for our school board and administration as we continue to grow and add new individuals to our staff family. With 80% of our overall budget dedicated to payroll, raises and incentives are a significant investment,” said Interim Superintendent Dr. Amy Anderson. “We are proud of the ongoing efforts to raise teacher pay through the years and intend to continue this important work.
