Capturing Kids’ Hearts® Founder (CKH) Flip Flippen announced Royse City ISD as a National Showcase District for the 5th consecutive year! Additionally, ALL 10 campuses were named National Showcase Schools for success in the strategies and implementation of CKH.
On the designation, the Flippen Group shared, "We appreciate your team’s unwavering commitment to cultivating a safe and supportive environment for students and staff. The outstanding implementation of the CKH Process in Royse City Independent School District is a testament to your dedication and leadership."
Capturing Kids’ Hearts was first introduced to educators in Royse City ISD in 2003. Since then, district administrators have committed to investing in teacher training and growing a culture that is built on relationship building. As a result, students are greeted daily at each class and are encouraged to share good things happening in their lives. Knowing students on a personal level builds trust which can lead to better attendance, academic progress and a safer school environment.
To be eligible for this honor, every campus in the district must be nominated and later selected as a showcase campus. Teams of evaluators visit each campus to interview students, teachers, administrators and parents. They study the climate and culture of the school and its conduciveness to learning. Every campus in Royse City ISD has been named as a National Showcase School.
