Last week we honored our incredible para-professionals at the annual brunch. This special tradition, inspired by the late Peggy Webb, celebrates those who provide invaluable support to our students and teachers. Our guests enjoyed a catered breakfast, shopped at a Holiday Bazaar pop-up shop, and were treated to a special performance by the Ruth Cherry Elementary Choir. Thank you para-professionals! Our Ruth Cherry Elementary students worked hard to meet both their academic goals and their fundraiser goal this fall. One of their rewards was to see the principal kiss an animal. The students took a vote on what kind of animal it would be and the pig won! Mrs. Hays was so glad that the snake and cow were not the #1 choice but they came in at a close 2nd and 3rd. The pig that came for our campus visit is one of our very own Ruth Cherry students piglets!

Our first annual Community Holiday Reception is coming up! 🗓️ December 10th, 4:30-6:00 PM 📍 Royse City ISD Event Center Parking will be available in front of the Event Center located at 670 South FM 2642. Join us for an evening of holiday cheer, delicious treats, and heartwarming carols. This come-and-go- event will feature students caroling and delicious treats crafted by the talented students from the RCHS Big Bark Bistro. Let's make this a new tradition for our community!

Tomorrow December 3rd, Royse City ISD joins the Greenville Police Department and community in wearing BLUE to honor the life of Officer Cooper Dawson. Let's come together as a community to remember and honor his sacrifice. #BlueForCooper #RoyseCityISD

Yesterday was truly a memorable day as we honored our former superintendent, Mr. Worthy, at the ground breaking ceremony for Worthy Fate High School. It was an exciting opportunity to look forward to the bright future ahead for our students in the district while also taking moment to reflect on the remarkable growth of our community. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the communities of Royse City and Fate for their unwavering support. We also want to express our gratitude to VLK Architects and North Star Builders for their contributions in shaping the facilities that support our students’ success. A special thanks to Bobby Summers Middle School band and choir for their stunning performances that added to the event’s success. Our future Wolverines made us proud. District officials are closely monitoring the weather and are in contact with the county on forecast models for this afternoon. Please refer to the below information as we continue the day with student and staff safety in mind. After school activities are canceled today, November 4, 2024 Any changes to athletic events will be communicated separately as they usually involve UIL leadership. Those communications will come from coaches on their typical platforms. YMCA After-School Care will continue as normal. Thank you for your support of our safety efforts!

Hello Cherry Families, UIL practices and Good News Club will be canceled afterschool today, Monday, November 4th due to weather. The YMCA will run normal hours afterschool. Please call the school with any transportation changes. We will hold students at dismissal if there is lightening in the area or heavy rain until it is clear.

Due to a very soggy weather forecast on Monday, we are rescheduling the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Worthy Fate High School to Tuesday, November 19. Same time, same place! Hope to see you there. Please also remember to use the driveway entrance from FM 552 and not from N. King Road. Look for WFHS Flags near that entrance.

The RCHS Interact Club is hosting a Trunk or Treat event on October 30! This event is completely student-led. All guests ages 4 and up must donated two canned goods to benefit area food pantries. Makes plan to join these great student leaders and support area families in need!
